Alexander Vlahos, a Welsh actor, writer, and director, is best known for his role as Philippe, Duke of Orléans in the Canal+ television series Versailles. In 2012, Vlahos took over the character of Mordred from Asa Butterfield in the BBC One program Merlin. In 2009, he made his acting debut as Dylan in the BBC Wales drama Crash. He made his daytime medical soap opera Doctors debut the following year in a week-long plot titled "Master of the Universe," in which he portrayed the lead role of Lewis Cutler. The episodes were then nominated for the British Soap Awards in 2010 for "Best Single Episode" and "Spectacular Scene of the Year." He has participated in the films Pen Talar and The Indian Doctor, as well as the film Bright Lights, in 2010.
